Interact Savescreen

Legal

Terms of use & end-user license

1. Who we are and what this covers

Interact Savescreen (the “Software”) is published by Optexia (“we”), whose legal name, address and registration details are in its legal notice: optexia.com/legal. Contact: contact@optexia.com. These terms apply to every version of the Software — web, installable web app and desktop app — and to the founder license sold for it. By installing or using the Software you accept them; if you do not, do not use it.

2. The free tier and the beta

3. The license we grant you

The Software is licensed, not sold. Subject to these terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide license to install and use the Software, and — if you hold a valid license key — its Pro features.

You may not, except where mandatory law expressly allows it:

Third-party components bundled with the Software are licensed under their own (open-source) terms, listed in the app under Settings → About → Third-party notices. AI models are downloaded only on your request, and their license is shown before any download.

4. The founder lifetime license

5. Right of withdrawal (EU and UK consumers)

If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase made online, without giving a reason.

The founder license is digital content (your license key), supplied when we send you the key, not at the moment of payment. At checkout we therefore ask for your explicit consent to receive it before the withdrawal period ends and your acknowledgement that you lose your right of withdrawal once the key has been delivered (Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU and its national transpositions).

To use it, tell us within 14 days of your purchase, and before your key has been delivered if you gave that consent (a simple email to contact@optexia.com is enough, or the EU model withdrawal form), and we refund you within 14 days with the same payment method. A withdrawal is refunded in full; a full refund, whatever its reason, ends your founder license (a key already delivered is revoked). A partial refund — for example a tax correction or a commercial gesture — is not a withdrawal: your license stands. TODO(founder): have the checkout collect this consent and acknowledgement, and confirm them in the email that carries the key; until it does, every order follows the second case (key sent after the 14 days).

TODO(founder): decide whether to also offer a voluntary refund window (e.g. 14 days, no questions asked) on top of the legal rules, and state it here and at checkout.

This does not affect your legal guarantee of conformity for digital content (see section 7), which always applies.

6. Your data and the services you connect

Your boards, widget content and settings stay on your device; the privacy policy lists every third party the Software can contact and when. You are responsible for the tokens, calendar links and endpoints you configure, for respecting the terms of the services you connect (GitHub, Asana, feeds, webhooks…), and for backing up your data. We cannot access, recover or restore data stored on your device.

7. Warranty

The free tier and the beta are provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, to the extent the law allows. For the paid license, you benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content that the law of your country gives consumers (in the EU, Directive (EU) 2019/770): if the Software does not work as described, tell us and we will fix it within a reasonable time, or, if we cannot, you may obtain a price reduction or a refund. Beyond that legal guarantee, we do not promise that the Software is error-free, uninterrupted or suited to a particular purpose, nor that third-party services it connects to remain available.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damage (lost profits, lost data, business interruption), nor for the behaviour of third-party services you connect. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Software is limited to the amount you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim (zero for the free tier and the beta).

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law — in particular for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or gross negligence, or the mandatory rights of consumers.

9. Ending the license

You may stop using the Software at any time and uninstall it. If you seriously breach these terms (for example by reselling or publishing license keys), we may terminate your license after telling you by email; sections 7 to 10 survive termination.

10. Changes, law and disputes
